The University of Detroit Mercy and Marygrove College have been important neighborhood anchors since their foundings. And with increased attention to development in the neighborhoods outside of the city center, they'll be more important than ever. 

Entrepreneurship programs across the city engage youth in hands-on, place-based entrepreneurial training, equipping them to both launch their own businesses and use entrepreneurial thinking to solve problems.
