Open City: Pop-up Detroit, starting slow and small

Have you ever wanted to start a business? Are you a current owner? Thought about doing a pop-up?

Open City Detroit is a free networking event that facilitates exchange about starting, operating, and growing a small business in Detroit. By providing an informal space for entrepreneurs to share stories, information, and resources, Open City aims to strengthen the local business community.

Model D and D:Hive are partnering with Revolve Detroit and FoodLab Detroit to bring you "Pop-up Detroit: Starting Your Business Slow and Small" on Monday, March 17 at 6 p.m. at the Park Bar (2040 Park Avenue).

Panelists include: Michael Forsyth, from Detroit Economic Growth Corporation; Tunde Wey from (revolver); Kurt Spieles from Spielhaus Toys; and Tawnya Clark, from The Batata Shop and Foodlab Detroit.

Travis Wright of WDET 101.9 FM will moderate the discussion, and EliTea and Detroit Gypsy Kitchen will be popping up! A free drink will be provided for the first 80 guests.
